Parineeti Creates A Rift In Haryana Govt
The actress' appointment as the brand ambassador of a campaign has led to a divide between the CM and Health minister
Parineeti Chopra has unwittingly become the bone of contention in the Haryana government.
On July 16, Manohar Lal Khattar, the Chief Minister of Haryana, appointed the actress as the brand ambassador of the 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao' campaign.
The CM tweeted:
The Hasee Toh Phasee actress was obviously thrilled about the development. She wrote on Twitter:
Little did she know what was coming up next.
Unfortunately for her, the Health Minister of Haryana, Anil Vij didn't share the same enthusiasm.
Two hours after the CM welcomed Pari as the face of the campaign, Vij tweeted:
Clearly, there is a divide in the Haryana government over the actress' appointment.
Parineeti is going through a lull in her career and we're guessing she wouldn't want to be plagued with a controversy at this point in time.
